Dr. Anindita Chatterjee is a Clinical Psychologist, a Post doctoral scholar in Roehampton University, London and Fontys University, Netherlands, working in Kolkata for the last 25 years in the field of education , inclusion and integrated curriculum. She is attached to the Peerless hospital, as Coordinator of child guidance clinic, Apollo clinic, Gariahat and Institute of child health. She is secretary and founder of Roopkatha Foundation which works majorly in rural areas in kaikala village in Tarkeshwar enabling children of brick fields labourers and farmers. She is the founder of Star Mission Academy, where she encourages the school dropouts and differently abled children to remain in the mainstream and she has created many success stories .She is the recipient of Erasmus Mundus scholarship and Australian Endeavour award. She has been a huge support to Umeed initiatives since its inception and shares the vision and mission of Umeed walking the path of advocacy and counselling with Mrs. Salony Priya for years.

An empathetic leader for cause for well-being, a true champion for cause of Umeed foundation, who inspires , steers and guides Umeed with her wisdom and immense experience . She is an inclusive education and remediation educator, with over 40 years of proven record in developing and implementing innovative strategies for teaching children with learning disabilities in mainstream education. She is member of the National Focus Group–Dept. Of Education of Groups with Special Needs at the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), where she helped develop curriculum and new teaching methods. She is also member of Expert Committee with the Rehabilitation Council of India and former Chairperson, Academic Series Training, Association of Indian School Counsellors and Allied Professionals (AISCAP). Most recently she has provided inputs on skills-based education to MHRD and Niti Ayog on the new National Education Policy (2020) and National Review of SDGs on Disability Inclusion, respectively. She is the recipient of the “Human Rights Millennium Award, 2000 presented by International Association of Education for World Peace and the “Millennium Award for Hindi, 2000” presented by International Hindi Sahitya Sabha. She inculcated the culture of global curriculum in school by collaborating with British Council under the UKIERI (United Kingdom- India Educational Research Initiative) programme for three years from 2008 to 2011. During her tenure as a principal the school was awarded the International School award in 2010. School also Won the J J Irani award for excellence in education.
A trainer on Parenting & Winning Relationship for employees of Tata Steel, formulation of Road Safety Manual used by all schools, providing training on Class room Management, Error Analysis, Parent training and counseling. Has been as assessor for many schools for excellence in education programme conducted by Tata Steel.
She was awarded Teacher of the Year by Dainik Bhaskar& by Lions Club in 2008. She won NCERT Award for a project on STRESS TO WELLNESS and design for change award for the project BCOZ WE CARE. Programme Officer, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India Dr. Vedabhyas Kundu is the Programme Officer with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. An expert on non-violent communication, he propagates different dimensions of Gandhian philosophy through trainings and workshops both nationally and internationally. He has been conducting training of judicial officers, lawyers, and students of law universities on nonviolent communication and how it can be used to promote meaningful interaction between the Bar and the Bench. Also, he conducts workshops on the Gandhian Model of Mediation. Besides, he has been working to promote peer mediation and community mediation. Dr. Kundu’s areas of interest are media and information literacy for peace, nonviolent conflict resolution, nonviolent communication, conflict competencies, volunteerism, and human interconnectedness. He has been developing different courses on nonviolent communication, strategies of conflict resolution in schools, community mediation, and peer mediation. For his unique contribution to promoting Nonviolent Communication during the pandemic period in 2020, the Delhi Journalists Association awarded him with the Corona Warrior Award. A very firm believer of youth empowerment, he has been associated with Salony Priya’s vision and shared several trainings and discussions with her.

Mr. Vedabhyas Kundu

Dr. Shikha Sahai has an experience of more than 22 years in Corporate HR, Consulting, Training, Action Research, Mentoring and Teaching in India and Oman, associated with BITS Pilani, India and Goa Institute of Management, India, Salala University Oman . She is an educationist at the core, with a blend of business and coaching mentoring skills, an exceptional trainer who blends education and business ethics with her experience proficiently . She as an advisor is a guiding light for UF projects and provides immense value with her philanthropic zeal. She is an M.B.A. and Ph.D. by qualification. She is currently working as Human Resource Business Partner with Sundaram Finance Limited. Her last assignment was as an Assistant Professor, Department of Management, College of Commerce and Business Administration, Salalah, Oman. Prior to that, she was in corporate roles as Head – Plant HR with Tata Metaliks Limited, Kharagpur, India . She has been designing out of the box trainings with Door Training and Consulting, Gurgaon, India as Consultant Trainer where she coached CEO of multinational and national companies (like Aditya Birla group, Vodafone, Tata Motors, Punjab National Bank etc.). She has co-authored a book on Entrepreneurship and has published several research articles and case studies in international journals.

Education: After completing schooling from Loreto Convent Darjeeling, did graduation with English honours and post graduation from Calcutta University. Career: Over 40 years in the field of education, first as a teacher and then as a Principal. Principal of GD Birla Centre of Education (ISC) for 13 years Principal of Adamas International School (ISC and IGSC) for 14 years. Also worked as Deputy Director of Mace, a teacher training institution. Awards and recognition: Received awards for contribution to the field of education by Shri Shikshayatan Alumni. Received best zonal Principal’s award from SOF thrice.’ Outstanding Education Leadership Award from EGN. Well versed with all aspects of school administration. Travelled extensively all over India and abroad on School visits and for training. Best awards are from students who have established themselves in successful careers all over the world and made a mark as good human being.

Dr. Rekha Nariwal is an associate professor in Education department of the Bhawanipur Education Society College, affiliated to the University of Calcutta and specialises in education perspectives related to Gender and Quality. Dr. Nariwal has also worked for the SCERT as a Research Coordinator , to conduct empirical research and organise teacher training workshops for secondary and higher secondary school teachers. She has a keen interest in writing, contributed to several reputed journals, and has worked as a PhD Examiner for Utkal, Ravenshaw, North Orissa, and B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University since 2014.She has designed audio-visual aids for resource centres to be used for teacher training programmes, as her contribution to DPEP, an initiative by the Govt. of India. An educationist with deep interest in mentoring youth, has been supporting Umeed foundation positive psychology approach of creating mental health awareness.
